#3 RAM (Random Access Memory)
RAM or the Random Access Memory is the principal component of not only laptops but desktop PCs, tablet, smartphones, and gaming consoles. Without the RAM, performing any tasks on the system would be extremely sluggish. It is a piece of hardware embedded on the motherboard that stores system’s short term memory while it is running. The principal difference between the RAM and the data drive is that the RAM is volatile memory; in simpler words, the data stored on the RAM gets wholly erased when the power source shuts.
The RAM temporarily stores the software and files in current use or near future. - DRAM (Dynamic Random Access Memory)
